Healthy Family
A healthy family begins with you! Parents are not only role models for good behavior, they are also role models for healthy eating. Check out the USDA’s tips on how to be a healthy role model for your children.
Use these resources to learn how to calculate your child’s Body Mass Index (BMI) and what your child’s BMI means. Once you understand your child’s BMI, check out our healthy eating plans for kids and teens.
Additional resources on healthy eating is available from the USDA’s choosemyplate.gov website. Look for new resources coming to that website soon!
